My name is Maddy — a Sydney-based mumma, poet, and the heart behind A Home Muse.

Growing up in the foster system, I learned early that words could hold what life sometimes couldn't. I'd write down my thoughts and feelings and turn them into something — art, expression, a small piece of peace in uncertain times. It was my way of making sense of the world.

A Home Muse was born from that same place. A belief that your emotions are not a burden — they are beautiful. That the right words, hung on a wall, can remind you of that on the days you forget.

Now, as a new mum to my little girl (nine months old and already my greatest muse), creating these pieces feels like the most natural thing in the world. Every poem, every print, is made with the same intention — to offer comfort, to hold space, and to remind you that you are already enough.
